| 04-12-2009 Academy of Comfort and Safety in Poznań |
The forth following seminar of the Academy of Comfort and Safety in buildings is behind us. After Kraków, Warsaw, Katowice there was Poznań (Tarnowo Podgórne) where we had a pleasure to host you on December 1st and 2nd, 2009.
The two day seminary got ready with cooperation of Belimo, Elacompil, Kliweko, Lennox, MAT Autodesk and Venture Industries and also thanks to the people representing the academic.
During the Academy of Comfort and Safety in buildings, designers from all over Poland had a chance to meet with smart solutions used in VAV systems as well as with innovative ideas adapted in fire safety and general ventilation systems.
All participants also had a chance to question the leading professionals and discuss any professional issues.
Next round of seminars of the Academy of Comfort and Safety in buildings is going to be held soon – this time in Wrocław and Gdańsk.

The up-to-date schedule will soon be available on the website www.akademia-kib.pl and also on the site of our main media patron www.wentylacja.com.pl. |

| 21-10-2009 CFD simulations in designing fire ventilation systems |
SMAY Research Laboratory offers within its scope of work computational modeling of fluid dynamics (CFD). Computer simulations are performed by using up to date software version of ANSYS® FLUENT® and they let to evaluate the overall ventilation system efficiency as well as particular devices. Computational modeling is very important at the stage of elaborating the concept, when not necessarily it is possible to run all the required testing in real physical conditions.
CFD models are verified based on tests performed at SMAY Research Laboratory or in the real objects.
CFD simulations let to shorten the time to run the tests, selection of optimal working parameters of the system and also they let to create a datasheet for next projects. Supplementing the approved technical knowledge by computational modeling let to create a unique solution for every object and at the same time it is a substantial support for designers and fire safety professionals. |
